Physician - Emergency Medicine


Job Details:

  • Emergency Medicine physician coverage needed at a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with occasional coverage at main facility

  • 12-hour shifts required with both AM and PM shift coverage needed

  • FSED operates with 12 bays and single provider coverage model; main facility operates with multi-provider coverage and 80 bays

  • Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes

  • FSED patient mix is low to mid acuity; main facility patient mix is mid to high acuity

  • ED admission rate is 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main facility

  • No trauma center designation

  • Nurse/APP triage available at main facility only; not available at FSED

  • Board certification in IM, FP, or ABEM required; if not ABEM certified, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required

  • Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies

  • 2-day shadow orientation and 1-day IT/in-house orientation required
