Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Emergency Medicine physician needed for ongoing full-time positions
ABEM board certification preferred; exceptions made for strong, experienced providers
Shift times available: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
No call coverage required
One Emergency Medicine physician on staff per shift
Average patient census of 55-60 patients daily, approximately 2 patients per hour with occasional larger patient volumes
Most common cases include medical complaints such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, as well as basic trauma including falls, motor vehicle collisions, and sports injuries
Rarely involves severe or penetrating trauma cases
Required procedures include ED procedures such as intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, incision and drainage, and central line placement
Orientation consists of 2 shadow shifts

The department is staffed with supportive nursing and on-call specialists to assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The facility handles a broad range of emergency cases from routine medical complaints to basic trauma, offering a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
