Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Provide urgent Gastroenterology coverage on a 24-hour call basis (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
- Coverage available for the following dates: August 30 - September 3, September 11-12, November 7-11, November 30 - December 5, with ongoing January 2027 dates to follow
- 7-day stints preferred but not required for 2027 coverage
- Inpatient setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
- Required procedures include scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and evaluation of GI problems
- Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients
- Expect 8-10 new patient admissions and follow-ups, with 5-8 scopes per day
- GI service functions as a consult service and does not admit patients directly
- 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services available on-site
- EMR system: EPIC
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
- Gastroenterology Fellowship required
- Active Colorado License or IMLC required
- Active DEA required
- Candidates must be able to perform ERCP and EUS to be considered
- Weekend and on-call availability required
