Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology/Oncology
Job Details:
Outpatient clinic/private practice setting with shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call required
Preferred schedule of 3 days per week; client is open to 2 providers working alternating shifts, either 1 or 2 weeks on/off
12-month contract preferred
Approximately 15 patients per day in a low-volume, solo provider setting
Department mix is approximately 60% hematology and 40% solid tumor
New to follow-up patient ratio is approximately 20% new patients and 80% follow-ups
High-acuity cases such as acute leukemias are typically referred to tertiary centers
Standard medical oncology infusion supervision model with no unique or additional supervision requirements beyond typical practice standards
One APP on-site daily to assist with follow-ups, supportive care visits, documentation, and orders in collaboration with the physician
Dedicated oncology-trained RNs support infusion services during clinic hours
Provider will participate in tumor board
EMR system: Meditech
Board Certification in hematology or medical oncology required
Must have recent patient-facing experience
