Opportunity:

Physician - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

• Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician needed for coverage on an ongoing basis until a permanent physician is hired


• Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM


• Practice setting includes both inpatient and outpatient care


• Trauma Level III facility


• Patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients


• Case mix is 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology; no Internal Medicine


• 1 physician in practice with no APP support


• Average outpatient clinic volume: 12-25 patients per day


• Average inpatient rounding/call volume: 2-8 patients per day


• EMR: Epic


• On-call and weekend coverage required


• Board Certified in Medical Oncology required


• Board Certified in Hematology highly preferred


• Active Virginia license required


• BLS required


• Full travel reimbursement provided

This facility is a regional medical center offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including an oncology and hematology cancer institute. The center provides both inpatient and outpatient care, operating at a Level III trauma designation. With a focus on delivering high-quality cancer care to adult and geriatric populations, the facility is equipped with modern technology including Epic EMR to support its clinical teams.
