Physician - Hospitalist
Job Details:
Provide night shift coverage for a short-staffed hospitalist team due to resignations
On-site coverage required including weekends and nights
Shift times available: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
No call or rotation schedule involved
Providers will round on an average of 20 patients per day with an overall daily census of 200-220 patients
Individual physician census ranges from 18-22 patients; APP census ranges from 12-15 patients
Dedicated admitters handle all daily admissions and consults; rounders are not responsible for admissions
No ICU rounding required as the ICU is closed
No procedures or vent management required
7-8 physicians staffed daily for day shifts, including site chief or assistant site chief
Grand rounds held every Tuesday covering all patients on each floor, along with daily centralized MDRs
2-3 days of training and shadow shifts provided for orientation to facility expectations
Experienced providers with inpatient hospitalist experience required
Colorado licensure required at time of presentation; IMLC is not accepted

This facility is a large tertiary care hospital with approximately 520 beds, serving a large and diverse patient population as expected at a facility of its size and scope. It is a Level 1 Trauma Center equipped with all typical ancillary support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. The hospital supports a robust hospitalist program with dedicated admitters, a structured rounding system, and daily multidisciplinary rounds to maintain high standards of inpatient care.
