Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:

  • Day shift position working 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with on-call responsibilities for the entirety of the shift

  • Once shift is completed, providers are not expected to be called or called back

  • Seasoned providers capable of handling 22+ encounters per day are encouraged to apply

  • Round on 14-24 patients daily with 4-5 daily admissions expected

  • Round in an open ICU with tele-intensivist involvement managing drips and vents

  • Provide consultations to behavioral health and rehab units, averaging 4-6 consults per day

  • Recent acute care rehab experience is required

  • Patient population is primarily underserved

  • Support staff includes PT, OT, SLP, case managers, respiratory therapy, a virtual intensivist, ED, and surgery to assist with procedures

  • No specific procedures required beyond standard hospitalist duties

  • 1 orientation/shadow shift and a 2nd shadow shift, both 12-hour shifts, required upon start

    This community hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility providing a broad range of inpatient medical services to the surrounding region. The facility features a dedicated behavioral health unit, rehabilitation unit, and an open ICU supported by a virtual intensivist, ensuring comprehensive patient care across multiple service lines. A collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment supports physicians in delivering high-quality care to an underserved patient population.
