Physician - Urology
Job Details:
24-hour call shifts starting at 7:00 AM the day of, ending at 7:00 AM the next day
Coverage for specific dates as outlined; if provider is not available for a single day of coverage, an additional date may be added to the front or back end
Busy facility serving as a hub for multiple outlying facilities in the region
Adult patient population
Support staff includes nursing staff, anesthesia, and ER teams
EMR systems: Cerner (inpatient) and GE Centricity (outpatient, to access patient records as needed)
Hospital bed size: 280 beds
Special procedures include cystoscopy and/or stent placement for hematuria, kidney stone treatment with possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy, torsion of testicle (rare occurrence), UTI management, and consultation with ED or other providers for Foley catheter placement
Responsibilities also include rounding on inpatient setting in the morning
Board Certification required
Active Pennsylvania state license required
DEA required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
