Opportunity:
Physician - Urology
Job Details:
24-hour call coverage scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
No in-house call required; however, response time to be on-site is within 20 minutes
Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected on-site call-ins
Approximately 1-5 patients per shift with an average of 2-5 inpatient calls per 24 hours
Physicians are not required to remain on-site during night or weekend call but are required to round and discharge
Average on-site call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day
If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding, with remaining hours on-call with call-back
Rounding to be completed by locum provider on new admissions and any inpatient requiring rounds
Common procedures include kidney stone management, consults on continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements
Handles patient consults, on-call questions, and transfer/consult questions
General Urology experience required with adult patient population
Ureteroscopy experience required; laparoscopic surgery and nephrectomy experience preferred
Board certification required; fellowship required
